AQUASIL® Wastewater Treatment

AQUASIL® technology is an innovative treatment process that takes up and removes contaminants from wastewater. The technology was commercially introduced in 1995 as an efficient alternative to conventional practices. The AQUASIL® is a single-product, simultaneous process that utilizes the principles of fast kinetics and synergy for the removal of contaminants from the waste stream. It eliminates problems encountered in the use of liquid chemicals used in conventional techniques. AQUASIL® technology is a very simple treatment process, designed to serve a dual purpose, achieves compliance at an affordable cost and protects the environment.

AQUASIL® removes oil & grease, suspended solids ,heavy metals, phosphorus, fluoride, phenol, arsenic, molybdenum, selenium, bacteria, algae, and radioactive elements such as uranium. It lowers the levels of hexavalent chromium, boron, ammonia, cyanide, COD, and TDS. As well, the treatment overcomes problems associated with hardness and the presence of complexing or chelating agents, surfactants and detergents. And unlike conventional techniques, solid waste generated by the AQUASIL® treatment is stabilized and does not require any further treatment to render it suitable for long term disposal.

At the core of the AQUASIL® technology is a line of unique products, also known as “AQUASIL®” products. These products are a new generation of wastewater treatment materials. They are manufactured of nonhazardous materials and made to fit the chemistry of the particular waste- water. The products can be used in both the batch and continuous treatments and applied in either dry or slurry form.

With years of experience in product development and application studies, AQUASIL® today is the material of choice of a broad range of industries for use in wastewater treatment.
